We are absolutely thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of Parry Sound Montessori, and we are eagerly looking forward to welcoming children into our program this September! We plan to launch initially as a high-quality home-based environment with an intimate 1:5 ratio max of 5 students, ensuring personalized attention for every child. Simultaneously, we are well underway with the formal licensing process through the Ministry of Education to transition into a 1:8 ratio setting with additional trained staff and up to 16 students. while also working closely with the Town of Seguin to ensure full compliance with all local zoning requirements. Regardless of our licensing status or setting, we are committed to maintaining the highest educational standards; therefore, a fully trained Montessori teacher will always be present in the classroom ratio to guide your child's development.
Please note PSM will not be participating in the $10-a-day childcare initiative during its initial launch phase. The school intends to focus on its foundational operations first, with the possibility of enrolling in the program once the institution is fully established. This approach allows the school to maintain its specialized curriculum while reassessing provincial funding opportunities in the future.
